The essay represents applicants' only opportunity to speak for themselves; a well-written essay, one that genuinely conveys the writer's voice and at least one compelling personal trait, is sometimes the deciding factor in admissions. Through small group discussions and one-on-one appointments, our counselors and essay specialists work with students to understand the often-elusive qualities of successful college essays. Students explore various prompts and work together to brainstorm essay topics. In addition, students draft essays independently and benefit from individualized attention throughout the rigorous revision process.
